Options for Neck Arthritis and Cervical Disk Disease
Facet arthropathy and degenerative disk disease are two of the commonest causes of neck pain and represent arthritis of the cervical spine. Many disk problems are amenable to regenerative therapy with stem cell rich Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF). Patient selection is very important to optimize outcomes. Many forms of neck pain are essentially due to arthritis of the facet joints (small joints where vertebra connect to their adjacent vertebrae). PSCTC employs a degenerative neck disease protocol wherein we take advantage of the anti-inflammatory and healing effects of SVF (again, rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors). This particular protocol uses an advanced method of target plotting using MRI with gadolinium contrast to recognize inflamed or degenerated areas of your cervical spine. Once the targets are located, SVF is deployed by laser guided CAT scan to within 1mm of the area in question seen on MRI. This is all done as an outpatient at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement. The complete procedure takes about 4 hours. This exceptional targeting and deployment system is the only one like it in the world for deploying SVF into backs.
