Millions of Americans are affected by the degenerative joint disease, knee arthritis. Although knee surgery can, at times be delayed or avoided by treatment with steroid injection or implanting cartilage substitutes, these may not be feasible as a long term treatment because of the damage local tissues withstand over time. Other knee issues, such as significant meniscal and ligament injuries, may not be amenable to regenerative therapy. We evaluate each case to carefully assess the likelihood of success if regenerative therapy is employed.

PSCTC employs an SVF deployment protocol, developed specifically to utilize the immuno-regulatory and anti-inflammatory properties of SVF, rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors. SVF is Stromal Vascular Fraction, a Stem Cell rich derivative of the fat that we harvest in the mini-liposuction procedure. We take special measures to optimize transport of the SVF across the blood-brain barrier to improve central nervous system uptake. This is an outpatient procedure, done at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement, taking approximately three hours.
